Problems at 2 bridges slow trains in New Jersey
NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Problems at two bridges in New Jersey have caused delays for train riders as the evening commute approaches.
New Jersey Transit says trains are delayed about 20 minutes Thursday afternoon because of a problem at the Portal Bridge in Hackensack.
Only one track was in use as of 4 p.m.
Earlier, emergency track repairs at the Hackensack River drawbridge caused delays on PATH trains between Newark and the World Trade Center.
Service was back on normal schedule by about 3 p.m.
