Kansas Senate defeats call to extend weapons prohibition

(AP) — The Kansas Senate has defeated a measure aimed at keeping concealed weapons off college campuses a few more years.

In 2013, the Legislature blocked prohibitions against concealed weapons in government buildings, but exempted colleges and universities for four years.
