Oscar Winner Denzel Washington made his television directorial debut in “The Sound of Silence” episode for Grey’s Anatomy. Denzel is known for having directed feature films such as Antwone Fisher and The Great Debaters and for this episode he brought a lot of drama. In the episode Dr. Meredith Grey was violently attacked by a temporarily crazed patient resulting in a loss of hearing.
