"Every Line In The Movie I Wrote Myself": Ryan Reynolds Talks Playing Deadpool In 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'
Wade Wilson gets the movie he deserves with "Deadpool" this weekend, but as fans know, the journey has been a tough one. 20th Century Fox first brought the character to life in the woeful "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," with Ryan Reynolds playing a completely misconceived version of the character — they took the Merc With A Mouth, and sewed his mouth shut. Comic fans were rightfully baffled, and it was bizarre move in a picture that already had its share of problems. Speaking recently on Entertainment Weekly Radio, Reynolds revealed that though his appearance was only meant as a cameo (he was shooting the rom-com "The Proposal" at the same time), he wound up doing more work than expected due to the WGA writer's strike which happened during production.
