Intruder on the tracks triggers morning BART delays
A person on the tracks briefly caused trains to stop near the BART Civic Center station Friday morning, authorities said.
The breach occurred at 8:29 a.m., triggering delays in train traffic traveling in both directions as BART police were called to remove the intruder from the tracks, said Jim Allison, a spokesman for the agency.
By 8:45 a.m. the intruder had been rounded up and trains began moving again, but with delays of up to 10 minutes.
