N.C. Zoo polar bears Nikita and Anana were filmed playing in the water ahead of Nikita's official welcome to the zoo. On March 3, 2016, Governor Pat McCrory, N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Secretary Susan Kluttz, zoo director Pat Simmons and others will welcome Nikita's move to the zoo, which was recommended by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums' Species Survival Plan Program.
