How the Dow Jones industrial average fared on Wednesday
NEW YORK (AP) — Stocks eked out tiny gains Wednesday as oil prices continued to recover and investors hoped that the worst may be over for the beleaguered energy industry.
Telecommunications companies, which have climbed as the rest of the market has struggled this year, also rose.
The Nasdaq composite index rose 13.83 points, or 0.3 percent, to 4,703.42.
