Ike Ekweremadu, the deputy Senate President, has said that the major problem of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has always been manipulation, Daily Post reports.
The deputy Senate President disclosed this on Tuesday, March 8, when a delegation of the party from Adamawa state led by its chairman Joel Madaki visited the national working committee (NWC) in Abuja,
Ekweremadu expressed confidence in the leadership of Ali Modu Sheriff, the party’s national chairman saying that the party would be victorious in 2019, because of the new national chairman.

He said: “I have assured all stakeholders that congresses and convention will not be as it used to be.Now, the people will decide their leaders.
The days when someone will sit down in his house and name party executives are over. People will decide who will be their leaders. Our problem has always been that of manipulation, but that is all over”.
In another development, the National Executive Council of PDP has severed ties with former President Olusegun Obasanjo and 30 other former members of the party.
Obasanjo’s name topped the list of those deleted from the party’s Board of Trustees members. The removal of the 31 names, mostly founding fathers was approved during the party’s NEC meeting at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja on Monday, March 7.
