The word ‘Fat’ is not bad but when people give negative connotations to it, it becomes an insult. Most people find the word fat offensive, especially ladies. No woman wants to hear she’s fat. That is why they often say, never call a lady fat.
Being overweight is not easy as everyone has a comment on your body and feels the need to tell you.
Most of the time, people make hurtful and rude remarks about overweight people, though they might mean no harm.
Whatever your intentions, there are some things you should never tell fat women.
1. You’re fat: Isn’t it obvious? They already know they are fat, don’t add salt to injury.
2. I’m just trying to help: You’re only making it worse with your unsolicited advise. There’s a difference between caring and not minding your business.
3. It’s okay to be overweight men like women with curves. If it’s okay why aren’t you working towards being overweight?
4. If you lose some weight you would be more attractive: Are you saying fat women are not attractive?
5. You will never find a husband until you lose that weight: That’s so mean.
6. OMG, I feel so fat: When you’re obviously way thinner than the other person nearby.
7. I don’t understand why someone would let themselves get that fat: It’s terrible the amount of abuse heaped on fat people.
