Peter Osaze Odemwingie seems to be enjoying life at his new club Bristol City as he was once again on the score sheet.
The Super Eagles striker’s goal on the 54th minute against Rotterdam in the English Championship, rescued his team from a defeat in front of their home fans on Tuesday, April 5.
The visitors took the lead at the Ashton Gate through Matt Derbyshire in the 12th minute.

But Odemwingie equalized early in the second half, with a powerful strike from 16 yards, after Golbourne’s free-kick fell into his part.
Odemwingie could have sealed all three points for the hosts in the 78th minute when his header was excellently stopped by Lee Camp in goal for Rotherham United..
He was however replaced by Jonathan Kodjia with 10 minutes of the match left.
In the post-match interview, Lee Johnson, head coach of Bristol City had this to say about Odemwingie: “After being one down at half-time it’s a decent point. It was a clinical finish from Odemwingie. He worked his socks off in a helter-skelter game.”

On his part, Odemwingie told the club’s media team after the game: “I could say there was a bit of frustration in my goal because there was a lot of focus on equalizing. We all came out in the second half going for it because we knew they were going to sit back.
“One of my qualities is using both feet to finish and the first half I had an opportunity with my right foot but I didn’t take that. So I said to myself when the next come, just make sure you hit the target. I had a good contact with the ball and I was so pleased to see it at the back of the net early in the second half. It gave us the belief we could win this and we were closed to winning.”
The Nigerian striker has now scored two goals for Bristol City since joining on loan from Stoke for the remainder of the season.
Bristol city are now 20th in the English Championship.
