APC, PDP clash over Tinubu’s CCB Trial

The Lagos state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has berated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Lagos for calling for the reopening of the Code of Conduct Tribunal  (CCT) case against Bola Tinubu.

The party in a release signed by the Lagos state publicity secretary of the APC, Joe Igbokwe described the call for the reopening of the case against Tinubu by the PDP as mere silly rants of frustrated losers.

According to Leadership, the APC claimed that the call for Tinubu’s trial is being touted by reckless PDP members, who it said, are  desperately splashing mud to tar others when they are facing weighty corruption cases.

It said: “The Lagos PDP, and indeed, the entire PDP, are suffering acute  Tinubu-phobia, borne out of the fact that Asiwaju Tinubu constitutes the greatest nightmare for PDP rank and file, given his prosecution of the defeat of the PDP last year.”

In another development, the national chairman of the PDP, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff has charged the APC led federal to stop blaming the PDP for its failure to provide solutions to the myriads of problems confronting the country.

Senator Sheriff who gave the caution on Tuesday, April 5  during the  inauguration of four committees of the party– the convention, Reconciliation, Finance and Zoning committees, said the PDP shares in the pains Nigerians are going through in the hands of the APC led government.

He said with what has happened in the last one year of the APC government, Nigerians now have an opportunity to compare the performance of the two parties.
