Samy Santana and Cathy Procopio, The Pollinator Pathway, Long Beach, California. Youth transform a school campus to include native and regionally appropriate plants to support local pollinators.
Kingsley Iweka, Hapụ ya! (Leave Her!), Lagos, Nigeria. Domestic violence towards women is highlighted in a short film alongside access to advocacy materials.
Marther Lutomia Nangalama, Strengthening the Economic Status of Women, Ngong, Kenya. HIV-positive women are trained in entrepreneurial skills and soap making for economic independence.
Carin Steen, MuraArte Antigua to MuralArte Guate, Chimachoy, Guatemala. Elementary school students explore their local culture and history through drawing, storytelling and photography workshops.
Clotilda Andiensa and Ngoran Christerbel, Improving Sexual Reproductive Health Knowledge Among Teenagers, Bamenda, Cameroon. A school-based intervention provides adolescent youth with comprehensive information on sexual health.
Sang Kromah and Dr. Margaret Kromah, Project READ: Nedra House Drop-In Center for At-Risk Girls, Monrovia, Liberia. A drop-in center provides girls with a safe environment with mentoring services, educational workshops and a library.
Sandra Owusu-Gyamfi, Saving the Iconic Togo Slippery Frog to Save Livelihoods, Atewa, Ghana. Educational events and workshops empower local community members to expand their knowledge in amphibian conservation.
