Nigerian music star drops major surprise for his fans
– Nigerian singer Jaywon has dropped his third album titled Oba Orin
– The album has a rich array of guest appearances from Tiwa Savage to Mode 9, Reminisce and Vector to name a few
Former Kennis Music singer Jaywon has dropped his third album titled Oba Orin, a Yoruba phrase which means ‘King of Music’.
It is a 21-track album which features guest appearances from the likes of Vector, Mode 9, Reekado Banks, Reminisce, Oritse Femi, 9ice, Seriki and Sojay.
The album also has Mavin records heavyweight Tiwa Savage on the song My Way, and the collaboration is expected to help the Jaywon enjoy some cream off mainstream music given Tiwa’s understanding of the market dictates in Nigeria and other parts of Africa as has been shown in her previous works.

Jaywon has dropped two cool studio albums in the past – Odun Yi in 2014 and Meet With Jaywon earlier in 2011.
In 2014, the singer left Kennis Music after various industry speculations had it that he had fallen out with the label authorities.
Having being discovered as a budding pop artiste at the 2009 edition of the Kennis Music Easter Fiesta which was popular among party lovers years back, Jaywon went on to sign with the music company which saw him win the Best New Music Video at the Nigerian Music Video Awards in 2009 for his groovy, party-themed smash Filebe.

In spite of exiting Kennis Music in 2014 and the diverse observations following this, the singer has stated several times that there is no bad blood between him and the Kennis Music management as he only left following the expiration of his contract.
