Bernalillo County Sheriff's Dept issues abducted child alert
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department has issued an abducted child alert for a 9-month-old girl.
They say Ariana Smith was last seen in a vehicle headed eastbound on Interstate 40 about 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Authorities haven't released a photo of the child yet, but have a description of the vehicle which they say has an Arizona license plate.
Sheriff's officials say the girl was in the car when it was stolen from her parents.
They don't immediately know if the child was abducted from Albuquerque or any of the circumstances surrounding the abduction.
