Man thrown off Cape bridge after alleged assault
A man is in a critical condition after he was allegedly assaulted and thrown off a bridge in Cape Town, paramedics have said.
|||Cape Town - A man is in a critical condition after he was allegedly assaulted and thrown off a bridge in Cape Town on Tuesday morning, ER24 said in a statement.
ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said paramedics stopped at the scene when they saw police at the Govan Mbeki bridge on the R300 between Mitchell’s Plain and Nyanga.
“It is believed that the man was apparently on his way to work when he was allegedly assaulted and thrown off the bridge,” Bodasing said.
The victim was found lying face down in a serious condition, with injuries to his head.
He was transported to hospital for further medical treatment.
