Popular pastor visits Agatu, provides and pray for displaced persons (photos)
Senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr Paul Enenche is the latest prominent Nigerian to visit the people of Agatu in Benue state.

Enenche who is also from Benue state, is a well sought-after speaker by government and various organizations.

The cleric recently embarked on a trip to the town in company of his wife, Becky and senior church officials, donating relief materials worth millions of Naira.

The Abuja based preacher also provided medical care for the residents of the town, as there were medical workers on hand to assist the displaced persons as regards their health.

About a month ago, no fewer than 300 persons were confirmed dead following a siege in Agatu by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

Dr Enenche prayed for peace in the town and the people affected by the carnage. He also prayed for the traditional leader of the town, during a courtesy visit to him.

Meanwhile, former Senate president, Senator David Mark has urged the people of Benue state to refrain from any form of reprisal attack on herdsmen in any part of Benue south district to prevent an escalation of the crisis between Fulani herdsmen and Agatu farmers.
On his part, Mark had donated relief materials worth millions of naira to the displaced persons in Agatu.
In a related development, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state has said that Fulani herdsmen are not responsible for attacks in the country.
The governor said the attacks in the country were not carried out by Fulani herdsmen but herdsmen from from Mali, Ghana, Congo and Niger.
