Not that safe, according to a report from security firm Symantec, which says more than half a billion digital identities were stolen or exposed in 2015, the BBC reports. The report also said fake technical support scams rose by 200 percent and ransomware attacks grew by 35 percent in 2015 alone. The use of unknown software bugs by hackers to make sure attacks work was also seen as a factor in threats.
