UNLV boosts graduate assistant pay
LAS VEGAS (AP) — The University of Nevada-Las Vegas will pay graduate assistant instructors a little more money in what administrators say is a step toward top-tier status.
The Las Vegas Sun reports (http://bit.ly/1qmJsn0 ) that the university is boosting doctoral graduate assistants' nine-month stipends to the national average for their discipline, the most significant increase to the assistants' pay in years.
