For pragati's sake, Pragati Maidan to bow out
A major Delhi landmark for over four decades, Pragati Maidan is set to disappear by the yearend.The state pavilions, exhibition halls and iconic structures like the Hall of Nations and Nehru Pavilion will make way for a world-class exhibition complex and convention centre that can accommodate up to 7,000 visitors. Importantly, the perennial problem of traffic jams will be addressed by an underground parking where 4,800 cars can be slotted.
