Mother presses Carbondale for answers about student's death
(AP) — The mother of a Southern Illinois University student who died after fighting a driver with whom he had hitched a ride from a late-night party is pressing Carbondale elected leaders for more details about the circumstances that led to his death.
The Varughese family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the driver.
