This mega-yacht is a floating piece of family-friendly art

Pastrovich Studio’s 262-foot X-Prime yacht concept can most easily be described as a floating piece of family-friendly fine art.

The latest in Stefano Pastrovich’s X series, a delineation that references experimental planes and his background as a pilot, the cutting-edge cruiser displays aerodynamic styling that gives flight to an open-air aesthetic through use of extensive glass.

PastrovichThe innovative sense of space is continued throughout the interior by a design that emphasizes living areas that flow from zone to zone (maximizing the 44-foot beam), while eschewing compartmentalization and extended corridors. The ubiquitous use of light wood and soft shades adds to the yacht’s breezy nature, exemplified by the ambience of the main deck’s grand saloon, which transitions to a vast aft beach terrace with access to the water. Also on the main deck are four en suite guest cabins.

Accessed by a spiral staircase, the upper deck houses a dedicated cinema space, a hot tub, two lounges, a spa, a gym, and the owner’s apartment with a private balcony. Capable of accommodating up to 14 guests (depending on the owner’s design preferences), the X-Prime will ply the world’s waterways under hybrid diesel-electric propulsion. (pastrovich.com)
