2 killed in early morning collision in Vacaville

Two people were killed early morning in a traffic collision on eastbound Interstate 80 west of Lagoon Valley Road in Vacaville. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 28-year-old unidentified female, who was driving a 2001 Honda Accord while allegedly intoxicated, allowed her car to drift onto the right shoulder, where it collided with a parked 2016 Jeep SUV. Emergency crews spent approximately 20 minutes to remove the Honda’s driver, who suffered major internal bleeding and was transported to Kaiser Vacaville, where she was also pronounced dead.
