“We are hoping to bus people from Mpumalanga, North West and Limpopo to the march in Gauteng. We are sorting out logistics at this stage,” Mervin said.
Workers want casuals to be employed permanently. They are also demanding equal pay for equal work and the state-owned Post Office to pay increases owed to staff for the past two years.
Mervin said: “Some people have been working (for) 20 years without being made permanent. We have not received salary increases since 2014.”
The union is scheduled to host a media briefing tomorrow morning on the planned programme of action.
