Tiwa Savage and other celebs in sexy, trendy outfits during recent celebration

On Sunday, May 22, 2016, popular radio host Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi hosted friends and colleagues in Lagos, treating them to some nice time out following the first year anniversary of Gbemisoke her footwear brand. It was so much fun.

Still in the celebration mode, Gbemi spoke exclusively to NAIJ.com in a quick chat today May 24 and she expressed elatedness on the growth of her shoe brand as well as appreciation for her teeming customers and loved ones who have shown support thus far.

She spoke further:

How has the journey been thus far since starting up Gbemisoke shoes?

“It’s been great, it’s also been tasking as well as interesting. I get to learn new things about customers on a daily basis, how to relate with them and manage situations, how to formulate strategies and business policies and all of that. The Gbemisoke brand has been a truly great journey, I must say.”

Did you envisage this sort of reception from the people?

“To be honest, I didn’t see it coming. But I’m an adventurous person so I just thought ‘okay I love this and I should try it. If it works, fine. If not, we move on, at least in the end I’ll be sure I gave it a shot.’

“And that’s how it’s been with me as a person, that’s how we got started [with Gbemisoke shoes] and look where we are today. I’m truly impressed and blessed to have created something of this sort out here especially considering there’s never been an On-air Personality from Nigeria to have done something like this, at least to the best of my knowledge.”

How was the first year celebration of Gbemisoke shoes and would you say the shoe line has been successful?

“The first year anniversary celebration held on Sunday, May 22 at Otres Restarant, Lekki, Lagos. It was quite a thrilling experience and I had some friends and colleagues in the fashion, media and entertainment industry come though and celebrate with us.

“As per the success of Gbemisoke shoes, I would say things have been impressive and surprising in terms of the feedback we get from customers. The reception from the people has got me going on and wanting to satisfy them the more. We hope to continue with the greatness that’s started, hopefully. The best is yet to come. I am also grateful for all the support I have gotten.”
