Jennifer Lawrence is so over the X-Men. Just kidding. (Not really.)

Jennifer Lawrence’s adorable nephew is almost as over her role in the X-Men movies as she is.

"He’s obsessed with X-Men," she told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Monday night. "I’m like, ‘Bear, I’m an X-Man.’ He’s like, ‘No, da real X-Men.’"

In the ensuing clip of the adorable tow-headed 4-year-old, he rolls his eyes at his aunt so forcibly that he ends up rolling his whole body. He’s done with this whole thing — and so, it seems, is Lawrence.

Lawrence has been vocal over the past few years about her increasing ambivalence with her role in the X-Men franchise. She signed on to the franchise when she was an unknown teenage starlet who was just starting to earn some awards buzz for her role in Winter’s Bone, and back then she was happy to agree to appear in multiple movies as a supporting character who does a lot of quasi-nude scenes in blue body paint.

Now, of course, she’s an Oscar winner and one of the biggest movie stars in the world, and, if nothing else, she is over that blue body paint. "I’m like, ‘I can’t even pronounce this and that’s going in my nose? I’m breathing that?’" she told EW last July.

She’s gone back and forth a few times on whether or not X-Men: Apocalypse, coming out May 27, will be her last movie in the franchise. Most recently, she told EW that she had made a pact with her co-stars that she would only come back if they did.

She added, "I love the fans and I love the character. But then you realize how important your year is, like how important three months out of your year is. I don’t know. I shouldn’t be that honest."

In a different clip on The Tonight Show (also from Monday's episode) she said that her publicist had to instruct her not to tell people that they don’t have to see X-Men: Apocalypse. "I’m always like, ‘I don’t know, you know, if it feels right. No pressure.’"

"Here’s the X-Men clip," she told the audience on The Tonight Show. "Watch, don’t watch, I don’t care." Then she flashed her brilliant movie star smile, to show that she was joking. Probably.
