Dow Jones Industrial Average Soars As Technology, Financial Stocks Rally Amid June Interest Rate Hike Expectations

U.S. stocks rose to their highest point in the last seven sessions Tuesday, helped by gains in technology and financial stocks.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed the day up 213 points, or 1 percent, at 17,706, and the S&P 500 index was up 28 points, or 1.4 percent, at 2,076. Tech shares soared, helping the Nasdaq Composite index rise 95 points, or 2 percent, to 4,861.
