A portion of the Sathya Nagar Main Road, the main access road to the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University's paddy breeding station and a shortcut to Perur, has become unmotorable due to debris and gravel. Vehicles are forced to slow down to less than 20kmph and residents say the road has hiked their vehicle servicing expenditure and fills their houses with dust.
