According to professor Royana Singh, the department of anatomy receives around 15 to 20 cadavers from the kin of the families every year. Awareness drives and outreach programmes on cadaver donations seem to be paying off as more and more people approach the department of anatomy, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), pledging to donate their bodies.
