The month of your birth determines the diseases you get? That’s not fiction and not astrology, but sheer science!
Finally, scientists discovered the connection between the month of your birth and some medical condition you may develop in life. It’s not fiction. The study was published in Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association.
A researcher named Tatonetti obtained vast medical data from Columbia University Medical Center. He searched it for the connection between the birth month of patients and their conditions. This data was gathered for 14 years since 2000.
Among over 1600 various conditions he singled out 55. Patients born in a certain month of the year tend to develop these in their life course much more often than others. Such a coincidence is impossible. For instance, people born at the end of the summer or in fall more often develop asthma or other severe lung or breathing organs conditions.
The doctor calls his science “seasonality”, as it is tightly related to the seasons when patients’ mothers were carrying them in their wombs. These pregnant women had to put up with certain weather seasonal conditions, as well as with environmental impacts. They directly impact the fetus and precondition people to develop certain diseases in the course of their adult lives.
Presently Tatonetti gathers more data from around the globe to narrow down the list of such diseases and their correlation to the month of birth. In the future, it will help people to get timely diagnosing and treatment for either preventing or easing of their troubles with health.
