At Apple’s WWDC, Tim Cook pauses to remember Orlando
Apple CEO Tim Cook opened the meeting with a moment of silence.
In 2014, in an essay for Bloomberg Businessweek, Cook wrote, “Being gay has given me a deeper understanding of what it means to be in the minority and provided a window into the challenges that people in other minority groups deal with every day.”
Flags had been lowered to half-mast on the building near Civic Center where Cook spoke.
Outside, rainbow flags flew in the background as people lined up to enter the auditorium.
