Mississippi shooting linked to earlier killing in Florida
(AP) — A shooting at Southeastern Freight Trucking Co. has been apparently linked to a murder in Jacksonville, Florida, Richland Police Chief Russel James said Wednesday.
James tells news outlets that Alfred Lindbergh Moore Tankersley, 50, of Orange Park, Florida, on Monday shot and killed 50-year-old Marty Coffey at Old Dominion Freight Line in Jacksonville before driving to Richland and shooting a man Tuesday about 6 p.m. outside the trucking company.
James said at least eight shots were fired into the victim's car near the trucking company where he worked.
