NYC mayor's counsel resigning to lead police watchdog agency
NEW YORK (AP) — A New York City attorney who serves as counsel to Mayor Bill de Blasio is resigning and will take a new job as the chairwoman of the city's police watchdog agency.
The board's former chairman, Richard Emery, resigned after the agency's executive director accused him of using gender-based slur against her and undermining her authority.
