Smoking box on tracks sparks BART delay near Glen Park station
A BART train ran over a smoldering cardboard box during Wednesday morning commute, causing delays as personnel worked to dissipate smoke rising under the train, officials said.
The incident occurred just before 9 a.m. near the Glen Park BART Station, said Taylor Huckaby, a spokesman for the transit agency.
Officials turned on the ventilation system to remove the smoke, said BART spokeswoman Alicia Trost.
