Seahawks rookie QB Trevone Boykin avoids jail in assault
Seahawks rookie quarterback Trevone Boykin pleaded no contest to charges of resisting arrest in a New Year's Eve incident in San Antonio that could have landed him a year in jail.
On Thursday, the 22-year-old Boykin received one year on probation and was fined $1,500 plus court costs after pleading to a misdemeanor charge related to an Alamo Bowl brawl. A Bexar County Court judge allowed Boykin to serve the bulk of his probation -- which includes 80 hours of community service and a requirement to take an anger-management course -- in Seattle.
