The students of Osun state Grammar School were flogged mercilessly by their teachers for not coming to school early which made them unable to turn in their assignments on time.
It was reported that teachers cane erring pupils without their parents raising eyebrow as the pupils were flogged like ram for not wanting to go home days before the Eid-Il-Filtri celebration as they were made to lay on bare floors simply because they couldn’t submit their assignments on time, owing to the reason that they got to school late.
However the secondary school students lamented that, they now get to the because of the long distance they share with their school since the state government has changed their former destinations. Although to a larger venue but the travel time constrained.
