Players of Nigerian Professional Football League champions, Enyimba have not been paid salaries for three consecutive months.
This was disclosed by one of the players on the condition of anonymity to AfricanFootball.com.

It was gathered that the players are disappointed that the management did not even address the team to state why they are yet to be paid.
According to the player, he and his team mates lack motivation due to the unpaid salary, which is the major reason the Peoples Elephant are not doing very well.
“No one can play football with an empty stomach,” said the player.
Enyimba are bottom of their CAF Champions League Group B, which has Zamalek of Egypt and Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa.
Enyimba, champions in 2003 and 2004, are the only surviving Nigerian side in the continental club championship.
