Editor’s note: The conflict between the deadly Boko Haram sect and government forces has uprooted 2.4 million people from their homes. Thousands of people are currently suffering from hunger following the insurgency.
However, Boniface Peter, NAIJ.com guest contributor, in his second letter to President Muhammadu Buhari says that hunger is everywhere. He appeals to the president to concentrate on how Nigerians will be able to get food on their table before other things.

Dear Buhari, I am deeply worried over the life of the common man on the street. It is obvious that most families can no longer have meal on their table to quench their hunger.
I have written to you before telling you that “things are hard for the common man” you are keeping quiet and it seems you are not interested on how lives are perishing due to the hardship that has come on them.
I know it is not easy being a president and being able to put things in order. But, you can quickly do something to reduce the hunger beating most Nigerians.

Your government is making things difficult to be honest with you! The rate of dollar has gone high which is responsible for the shoot-up in prices of goods in the market. Please concentrate on how Nigerians will be able to get food on their table before other things.
I am praying to God to give you wisdom to rule and to save Nigerians from this strange hardship. There is hunger in the land, but, God Almighty will save us. Amen!
