Power problems causing East Bay BART delay
BART is dealing with a major delay on trains in the East Bay Thursday morning due to a power issue, according to the transit agency. The delay, which is between the Rockridge and Orinda stations in both directions, is caused by a “technical power problem” that’s preventing the agency from running trains automatically between the two stations, according to Taylor Huckaby, a spokesman for BART. Technicians are on the scene working on the issue, he said. The delays initially began at around 5:30 a.m. Hamed Aleaziz is a San Francisco Chronicle staff writer.
