NBC summer competition crowns a champ, soars 29 percent above 2015
“America’s Got Talent” soared 29 percent year over year last night with its season finale, reaching its top marks for a run’s ending episode in five years.
Not surprisingly, NBC crushed its broadcast competition on the evening, as “AGT” offered a strong lead-in for “Blindspot” sampling.
NBC was first in ratings with a 2.3 rating/9 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 11.9 million, according to preliminary numbers.
