Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun has suffered a suspected hamstring injury ahead of next month’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Zambia.

Balogun, who has formed a superb central defence partnership for the Super Eagles with Norway-based William Troost-Ekong, limped out after just nine minutes in a 3 -2 loss for his side.

It is suspected he has suffered a hamstring injury and a scan will determine how long he will now be sidelined.
The 28-year-old defender who has featured in all five league games for Mainz this season was named in the Bundesliga team of the week just lat week.
