Reports from Akure, the Ondo state capital have it that hoodlums have vandalised the campaign office of Jimoh Ibrahim, ousted Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate ahead of Saturday, November 26 governorship election in the state.
There had been tension in the state following the announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that the businessman has been recognised as the flagbearer of the PDP in the election.
But that decision was upturned by the Supreme Court earlier today and the party’s mandate was subsequently given to Eyitayo Jegede, a factional candidate of the PDP.
Consequently, some hoodlums in the state capital, NAIJ.com crew on ground in the state gathered, have taken Jimoh Ibrahim’s campaign office and destroyed it.
