Lawsuit filed against Fort Smith School Board in FOI dispute
(AP) — A lawsuit alleging violation of the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act has been filed against the Fort Smith School Board.
Board President Deanie Mehl says that she and other board members do not believe they violated the Freedom of Information Act because the board took no action on the election of officers until members were in public session and because the emails were made part of the public record.
