On Monday the Israeli parliament passed a bill that would reduce the length of military service for male soldiers from 32 to 30 months. The measure, introduced by the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, will go into effect in July 2020 if it passes through the Knesset plenum and becomes law.
