Rider overtakes Siena in second half for 71-69 win
LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. — Xavier Lundy scored 20 points and Norville Carey had his first double-double of the season to lift Rider to a 71-69 win over Siena on Monday night.
Rider (4 3, 1-1 Metro Atlantic) overtook Siena late in the game with an 11-3 spurt that put the Broncs up 69-68 with 2:22 left. Lundy, Carey and Jimmie Taylor all had at least one bucket during the run.
Taylor stretched the advantage by going 1 for 2 from the line but Siena cut it to one with 10 seconds left when Marquis Wright split a pair of free throws.
