Venezuela opposition to skip planned meeting with government

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — Venezuela's opposition is skipping a meeting with the government and endangering ongoing talks aimed at diffusing the country's political crisis.

The Vatican-mediated dialogue is aimed at steering the country away from violence as a majority of voters want President Nicolas Maduro out, and the government refuses to allow a recall referendum to proceed.
