I use one on a daily basis so I can snake it around to my bedside to charge my phone at night. 

Apple's included cable is great, but at only three feet, there are some situations where it can't cut it. This is the same cable I've been using every day for over a year.

Unlike other cables, Anker's is fairly strong and relatively thick. Its outer shell is make out of the standard rubbery, plastic-y material most are, but it feels substantial.

Critically, this cable hasn't frayed or broken, and I use it a lot. A lot. 

Anker's cable is also MFi-certified, so you won't have to worry about any compatibility issues. Cables that haven't passed the certification are less expensive, but you don't come out ahead spending $2 less on a cable that doesn't work.
