UNLV students, faculty petition for 'sanctuary' campus

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Students and faculty at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas have delivered a petition to the university president's office asking that school become a sanctuary campus.

If UNLV declared itself a sanctuary campus, it would grant protections to immigrant students who are in the country illegally while attending the school.
