Gamers convention to stay in Indianapolis through 2021
INDIANAPOLIS — A massive gamers convention that once threatened to leave Indianapolis during intense public debate over LGBT rights has signed a contract that will keep it in the city through 2021.
Gen Con announced Tuesday that it is extending its contract with the city an additional year. The agreement was announced in a joint release by the convention and city tourism officials.
Convention organizers threatened to leave the city in 2015 amid a national uproar over a religious objections bill approved by Republican Gov.
