Berlin-based mobile bank N26 expands into 9 European markets
BERLIN — Berlin-based banking startup N26 is expanding into nine further European countries.
The company, previously known as Number26, now offers accounts in 17 countries across Europe.
N26 said Tuesday it is rolling out its service in Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal and Slovenia.
Like Atom Bank in Britain or GoBank in the United States, N26 eschews bricks and mortar branches in favor of smartphone-based services.
