Gbaramatu community urges warring Deltans to work for peace in the Niger Delta
-Gbaramatu chiefs have called for cessation of hostilities in the Niger delta
-The chiefs said Niger delta people should embrace peace and love in the region
-They commended for President Goodluck Jonathan and Governor Okowa for presenting staff of office to Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom
Chairmen of Gbaramatu communities have described as a unifying factor the recent ceremony that brought HRM Oboro Gbaraun 11 as the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Delta state.
In a statement made available to journalists in Warri, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, Chairman of Kokodiagbene community, called for unity among the people of Gbaramatu Kingdom even as he sued for brotherly love among the people.

The Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom was presented with staff of office by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in Okporoza, the traditional headquarters of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta state.

While congratulating the Gbaramatu monarch on the successful presentation of the staff of office to him by the Delta state governor, Mulade implored the Royal father to use his reign to unite sons and daughters of the kingdom.
He lauded the immediate past president Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for attending the ceremony and called for peace and harmony among the people of the Niger Delta region.

Comrade Mulade expressed gratitude to Governor Okowa for personally presenting the staff of office to the Gbaramatu monarch, saying it showed the love he has for the people and urged the people of the kingdom to continue to support the administration of the Governor.
"We want to sincerely thank and appreciate our lovely brother, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo aka Tompolo who made us proud as a people, may God Almighty protect, guide and lift you above your enemies", he said.

He commended all the ethnic groups in the state and beyond for gracing the occasion and appealed to all Deltans to shun divisive tendency and work together, saying that; "Let us shun those things that will divide us as a people and pursue those things that will unite us because we are one people"
